Minimum stays:  Minimum stays may be required during Special Event weekends.  See the page on "Availability for Special Events" for these dates.  However, we will allow reservations for shorter periods if we have rooms available.

Deposit:  First night's stay amount.  A credit card number is needed to secure all reservations.  We will need a Visa or MasterCard or Discover number at the time the reservation is made.  If you prefer to send us a check, please do so within 7 days.  A charge equal to the first night's stay will be made in the case of a "no show" or if you cancel and it is not at least 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.

Payment:  Payment of your balance is due at the time of Check-in.  We accept personal checks, cash, and Discover, Visa, and MasterCard.   ***If you gave us a credit card number to hold your reservation, we will still need to swipe your card at Check-in**.

Cancellation:  Cancellations need to be made at least 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.  Cancellations made less than 7 days prior, will incur a $25.00 bookkeeping charge, unless we are able to re-rent the room.  In this case there will be no extra charge.  Cancellations on the day of arrival, and "no shows" will incur a charge equal to one night's stay.

Comfort:  For the comfort and safety of all our guests, we are a NON-SMOKING facility.  However, smoking is allowed on the outside front porch of the "general store" annex (Rooms 2 and 3).  We do not accept pets.  We do accept well behaved children, but we ask that all children be supervised by an adult at all times.  (We have many old and breakable antiques.)   In keeping with the tranquil atmosphere of the Inn, our guest rooms do not have TVs or telephones.   However, there is a TV in the Dining Room for guest use.  If you need to use the telephone, ask and we will get the wireless phone for you.    Wireless internet access is available in all the rooms.  The access code is printed in the notebook in your room.  Some guests bring a DVD player and watch a movie in their room.  We request you use head phones.

Alcoholic Beverages:  We do not have a liquor license.  Some guests bring their own drinks.  We respectfully request you do not bring more than the equivalent of one bottle of wine.  All guests in your room must be over 21 and please drink responsibly.  Nobody wants to listen to a drunken fight in a neighboring room.  Remember, you are a guest in our home.  This is not a party house.

Quiet Time:  Please observe a 10:00 p.m. to 6 a.m. quiet time.  This includes all children and any DVD players you bring with you.

Gift Certificates and Discount Coupons:  We accept Gift Certificates and Discount Coupons, 2-for-1 discounts from IPTV and other places on Sunday - Thursday only.  No Discounts accepted on Festival or Holiday weekends.  Payment must be with Cash or Check to receive the discount.  One discount at a time.  AAA, AARP, Military discounts are 5%, payment with cash or check only.   Please ask for the discount at the time you make your reservation.  Subject to availability and allow-ability.

Additional Charges:  Daily room charges, listed on our "Rates" page, are for one or two people (add 5%  tax).  Additional charges are as follows:  $10.00 per extra person per night,  6 years old to adult,   Children 5 and under: no additional charge.  A small port-a-crib is available for infants, tell Joy you will need it when you make your reservation.

Check-in / Check-out times:  Check-in is between the hours of  3:00 PM and 8:00 PM.  Special arrangements can be made if we are contacted ahead of time.  If you plan a later arrival, please let us know.  Early arriving guests are welcome to check-in, if their room is ready or not used the previous night.  Early check-in is encouraged if you are going to be out and about until late at night.  Check-out is before 11:00 AM.  If a later check-out time is needed, prior approval by the Innkeepers is needed.

This is our home:  Please act like a respectable guest.  We reserve the right to not rent rooms to anyone we do not feel comfortable having in our home.  We reserve the right to call the sheriff to remove any undesirable or unruly guests.  Please respect the comfort and peace of the guests in the other rooms.
